lets hope its not another disaster .............these birds have done well to get to the final .

still no liberation ,he is going to wait until 12 then call it a day ...does not state he will hold over to tomorrow or come home

just to east of the line of flight here and it's baking hot, no clouds and no wind no wild birds about either, be hard work if they do liberate

Baking hot talk about spoiling a mans day etc Had big plans down here Colin to be up at midnight etc, watching them all drop in all out the door now thou I'm with that report card    . End of the day     always had certain issues here with the race I'm   with so many 2nd day type birds in it for the final scenario.

I don't quite know here now whose report card for the race is the worst etc O/S yours or Colin's as such .

2 birds back around 7.30, arrived together, couldnt split them apart from who trapped first ............good performance from both birds, was a proper test i reckon .

both birds back are cocks .........

well done to them and the owners, seems both birds been improving each race, don't think either had a night out, come on 93 still got time to drop in.......

over an hour colin, still no more birds back ..........theyve certainly done well those first birds, was only down to trapping .

i didnt like the 11.50liberation from 334 miles .

averaging around 43mph so not a lot of help with the wind today, but would still expect a good few more on the day as 43mph with good weather full route can't be considered an exceptionally hard day. Looking like just the 2 on the day

fair play to that 3rd bird plugged on eh

nearly 2 hours after the first birds.........stuck at it didnt it, credit to the bird

My kind of thinking also O/S I'm   just glad I didn't wait up waiting down here     Credit where duo thou so well done to the 3 lucky birds & owners who made it on the day & who did something special in the context of our race I suggest, compared to us looser types still looking to the heavens preying for a bunch of feathers etc. Now 3rd bird tough little bugger, made up its mind it wasn't under any circumstances going to spend 3 nights out on the trot apparently in our series of races. Now one could maybe ask the question maybe, was the training schedule adequate over all looking at those that made it on the day somehow & those unfortunately still spending the night out there as such.

But to have 105 still missing think they may have been hit by you know what because they would have stayed together for at lease the first 200 mile then start to stretch out towards home JMO

wasnt implying anything really knackered, merely saying 105 never made it home on the day ..........but i would also say, im not a lover of letting them go at 11.50, to fly 334 miles over that terrain, knowing they wouldnt be back until around 7.30, and leaving the later birds a couple of hours to make it home before dark .

dont know what the answer would have been to do things any different, apart from bring them back, or stay over night for an earlier liberation, hoping the weather would be better .........
