| What does members consider important, after the pigeons have returned from a race. Things like : supplements, type of food, .....in their drinkers etc, and how many days do they receive that treatment? |

| when we raced before niel we had electrolytes in the water for when they returned, when i re-start with ybs this year i will do the same............and also will use the mallassis which hopefully will replace some of the energy they have used. |

| For me it has to be honey and lemon to replace sugar levels (lost energy) |

| dont think ive ever used honey after a race don, but might try in future sometime.........gave this nehu stray a strong dose of this mollassis and within an hour or two it looked a different bird, i couldnt beleive the difference it made in so short a time so will give it a try with the ybs. |

| hi phil, would you say this helped them recover....? i think there are many differnet methods fanciers use to aid recovery so whatever works for individuals is ok, sometimes better than buying expensive potions from the corn shops etc...... |

| Phil you use the honey with lemon it works well mate,i have written about this being used before
Phil honey is a natural sugar and sugar is energy, i would place 2 tablespoons of honey with fresh lemon juice in the drinker then i would use some warm water to dissolve the honey but don't use boiling water as this will kill some of the good bacteria's
Once the honey has dissolved then fill the fountain up with cold water and this is the first drink the birds will have on there return back from a race |

| I asume, everybody try to recupe their birds fast. No problem with that, but think about this, what about clean water, protein feed, to build up muscles , and rest. A week of rest, good food , and clear water, the birds would be more than ready to race again. Suplements could be added, at a later stage, just let them recupe naturally a day or two. Nobody is wrong, this is just another way of thinking. |
