YOUNG BIRDS 2021 FINAL RACE

September 24th, 2021

The RPRA One Loft Young Birds Final Race 2021 will take place on Sunday 26th September from Alnwick (235 miles, 898 yards).

You are welcome to attend the final at Pigeon House, Rye Street, Birtsmorton, Malvern, Worcestershire WR13 6AS.

There will be a marquee at the loft with seating outside. Light refreshments will be provided at the site free of charge. A barbeque will be fired to provide beefburger and bacon baps at a small charge.

As per current government policy, there is no restriction on outdoor gatherings, but please always take a safe approach in gathering around other people. If you go into our marquee, you are asked to wear a face covering and keep a distance from others around you.

Good luck to all competitors.

For directions, please key WR13 6AS into your SatNav. Once your SatNav says you’ve reached your destination, you will still need to go a little bit further until you reach ‘Pigeon House’ on your right side. Please park in the designated parking area.

Just hope we have decent weather and a decent race.

Thanks oldstrain, breaks the all round bad news.

Certainly hope so etc O/S Very Happy Very Happy bit worried here thou now lol! lol! lol! I'm affraid Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes after our last toss as such. Perhaps we should just hold them all back for a tail type wind, maybe. Now Very Happy Very Happy I know we are all experts here, except our beloved Ray Wink Wink he knows nothing lol! lol! lol! so David told me here, in confidence Very Happy Very Happy  Wink  Wink so I ask the simple question, what will be a fare & reasonable return on the day with our race do you suggest, being a head type wind apparently & the way they have all been trained there before hand  Wink  Wink. cheers

Think if half return on the day it will be a result.

As long as ours get back it will be an acheivement, if in the hunt all the better.

I am happy to have two in the final and far better than most.

One thing I hope is that  it is not a trapping match and we have a clear winner.

Fingers crossed lads.

Regards.

Like it a bit stronger here etc O/S Smile Smile but all things considered Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes I will except that type of thing Wink Wink under the circumstances  Rolling Eyes  Rolling Eyes  if we somehow win Very Happy  Very Happy Thou lol! lol! lol! that being said bounce bounce anything after 9 hours there now is in trouble I'm affraid by my way of thinking. Because that race across the water here I mentioned yesterday was around 9 odd hours for 300 odd miles into a head wind, so I expect now in my own strange way Smile Smile from our 250 odd miler over land for it to be a fare & reasonable cut of type point when judging the birds which may home in reasonable time there. Now Rolling EyesRolling Eyes lol! lol! lol! why I'm so generous with my thinking process Smile Smile is they are all being racing to the one loft as such bounce bounce as we know & not like the local ones I mentioned, who when they first hit land here yesterday on the home front side were on a 100 mile type front there from where they first started out & then after crossing 150 odd miles of ocean type water to hopefully maybe then find home & their favourite perch by nightfall  Wink Wink.  cheers
