somethingjust clicked in my mind earlier when i was feeding my birds, ive read somethingon the internet a few days ago where the fancier said he was breeding certain birds together, to produce small , dark offspring off them, this was to fool the bops/hawks etc into thinking they were jackdaws and wont attack them ......maybe this explains why the winner was a black pigeon, and was 25 mins in front of the next bird, they could have been hit by bops on route home ...?

Can never see the sense in showing spreaded wings, it is what the wings are arrached
to that matters.

Won races with birds in all stages of the moult.

Would never handle a pigeon more than necessary after a long hard flight.

Regards.

lol! lol! lol! True Wink Wink poor bird deserved much better etc as you say, always looks good thou Misty Smile Smile if one is looking to be intelligent Wink Wink & actually maybe knows what one is looking at type of thing. Problem for myself as always thou Wink Wink I'm  affraid is handle the first ten birds home there bounce bounce & more than likely, they will have 10 different type bodies, 10 different type eyes & 10 different wings & to round it all off Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes 10 different type natures, maybe Wink Wink End of the day  Smile  Smile with my thinking process factor here  Smile  Smile the only pigeon in racing mode on the day there was the first one sadly I suggest & the rest were more in typical homing survival type mode somehow I suspect in the end, even if leading the pack there so to speak behind the first one home on the day  Wink  Wink.  cheers

Yes Knackered, some of the best pigeons ever would not meet the criteria the so called EXPERTS advocate.

For everything one fancier says there will be hundreds who could contradict with well founded facts, all being truthfull.

Could tell numerous one off situations that confound what is thought as normal but had a certain amount of success.

WHAT CANNOT BE DENIED NATURE NOWS BETTER THAN MAN.

Regards.

The one off type moments Misty Smile Smile are the ones that put much of what one knows (in a pigeon sense) in the confusing state of mind at times I suggest. Fill a book, 10 times over Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes with little moments that left one basically walking away scratching ones head lol! lol! lol! saying that just carn't be so  bounce  bounce going by the expert types standard of the day as such. cheers
