Government Vote / Raw Sewage

the government has voted to allow companies to dump raw sewage into our rivers and seas ........and they say they care about the environment and the people .

There are existing Rules regarding dumping sewage, unless one knows all the details and possible consequences of not allowing it in certain circumstances one is not in a position to judge.

Cannot believe there can possibly be any other reason.

whilst india,china,russia and a few others are still using fossil fuels all this green energy hysteria will not do a jot for the world ,every country would need to pull rank ...the ones who stand to make money are the green energy companies selling green products and the working class will pay through the nose ,dont get me wrong i am all for it but it wont make a difference with the big 3 still poisoning the planet

Any effort made by us will be a complete waste of time, and as you say the measures we take which are useless overall will cost the ordinary man in the street and line the pockets of the profiteers.

China has indicated it will in fact increase coal production for the next 10 years.

Russia, WHO KNOWS.

Then we have all the other countries who will not take any action of any consequence.

Our efforts and those of similar small nations are meaningless but costly to the  residents.

Took years to clean up the River Thames... Just enough at that for a few re- introduced fish.
the 'River of Life - what a joke the Ganges has no live in it for 1000's on collective waters.
1 million a day crap and pee in it from Monday to Friday! Then 3 million week - ends.

India and others depending on the 'River of Life' have spent, invested, countless £millions to get it contain life stock. Have detoured vast parts ... to no avail.

Roll on Armageddon.

Everything is going down the sewer/toilet these days etc I'm   O/S on the climate side as such. Just wait till the spin & waffle flows from the climate change meeting coming up shortly in your necks of the woods there & all the happy smiling faces of a 1st class job of deceit once again being well done as such on the peasants of the world at the end of it all. 600 coal fired powered plants in China, with more to come there & what will your Boris there & my Morrison down here do about it in the end, absolutely nothing I suggest except talk the talk game once again as normal with their utter tripe/waffle circus scenario of spin.

Just as a matter of simple interest etc Daz & remembering I sadly know absolutely nothing type of thing       do you have 2 separate type systems there (like here) with your housing/business scenario to take all your treated sewerage effluent away & also your rain water (or just one) to finely in the end hopefully hope it all finish's up out at sea as such, or does most of it on average       just flows into your rivers there somehow, so one can then catch fish     maybe & then eat them all for the sheer enjoyment factor    . & take care.

Was a lake where I was brought up. twice a year fish rose to the top either dead or gasping for ait then died.
the fire brigade spent days just pumping in water to help.
Mind where the sewage run into the lake was a prime spot yp fish, as they fed there.
Many a fish caught there were cleansed and left in salt over night, then cleansed again and eaten...

Eventually it was drained. Filled in and built on.

Certainly double standards etc David in many ways I'm Big business just about given a gold card to do what ever they so like & when & us poor peasants types of the world get screwed Royal commission just finished here into our local Crown Casino. Those in charge there by the report should all be going to jail for a holiday because of their corrupt mismanagement over many years, but instead have now been given tax payers money over the next 2 years here to help them clean up their act as such & as a reward for being corrupt & totally dishonest    .
