| i think this pigeon of ours, deserves as much credit as our other birds in previous years, even though it was out of the prizes, when you think of what it has been through and the crazy training / racing it has endured to make it home ..........yes, this pigeon is no less worthy than our previous entries . |

| Can't fpr love or money believe the incredible stupidity of keeping the birds in, let alone training. Proved absolutely nothin! No yard stick whatsoever. Just a lucky time in on the day. Out side of a little Pize money. they might as well just called it a breeder's BUYER! J.M.O. |

| is there any need to have the rpra one loft young birds on darkness, after all they are all in the same boat, and racing to the same loft ..........whenever we saw update videos the birds were either pecking on the grass or sat on the loft roof ........sometimes we saw a bunch of birds exercising, yet we never saw them all exercising .
i dont think the birds on the whole were exercising / flying that well around the loft , when they first went training, thats why so many were lost so early on.
ive also found dark ybs caan very easily become lazy, they do not want to fly or exercise, and also they are very interested in pairing up , rather than flying . |

| Think oldstrain has done the syndicste the best anyone could and better than most, we have had an interest in every trainer and all up to and including the final, many were without an interest from day one.
As for the manner the pigeons were dealt with, I think no one can give so many pigeons an ideal means of being healthy and fit.
But darkness, in my opinion helps nothing, the less a pigeon is confined the better the chance of it being both healthy and fit.
An open loft all daylight hours would be a better means of having fit and healthy pigeons.
Going up and down all day even if for short flights around the loft makes a pigeon fit.
They do not need short training flights they know their way home.
Every training toss is risk taking, obvious solution only have those that are necessary and not in sight of the loft.
Think the numbers in the final is clear indication, THINGS AIN'T RIGHT.
However, glad I have not to look after so many from so many different fanciers.
And thank you oldstrain.
Regards. |

thats what i was going to ask darren, which lot number our bird was .......... Looks as though he has had a hard time and gone through the mill, moult not going so good, both wings and tail have suffered along the way, makes one wonder if some are sent when they should not have done. Having gone through the mill think it would be a bad decision all round for both bird and syndicate to put into yearling farce. Regards. |

| yes they are in the moult now but looking at the shredded tail and primaries left it has indeed been through the mill ,a full brother to this was sent by a ex member racing north and they did very well with the bird and should have topped the open with it but they lost 4 minutes trapping it was still 2nd and a sister was 2x 1st club and 1 x 2nd club for another local fancier and both still in there lofts having flown there respective programmes so no mugs eh ,would be a fair purchase and certainly worth a punt ,this was a new pairing for me and only 4 bred from them last year the other 2 went to the one loft |

| ive noticed the top birds which homed quickest in the final, are all better in the body moult, they arnt dropping to bits like some are, they tend to have finished moulting and have full bars, rather than still moulting or having partial bars etc
do members reckon the first birds back were simply better birds, or because they might have been better in feather........or just because they were lucky ? |

| Think the moult will certainly have an effect depending on the weather conditions as to what extent.
Would like to know just what they were fed on.
Vastly differences between those left and who knows the state of those lost.
Think they would have been better kept natural.

| yes misty, thats what i think too ......obviously with having so many birds at the loft, some will be further into the moult than others are ,then when they come off the dark some will be like yearlings and others partially moulted.
i do think a great number of the birds would be barely exercising around the loft when traing started, and most likely not even exercising well when racing started . |
