Anyone paired up yet ?

Just wondering who has paired up yet and when ? . If so why if early . We where going to but with one thing and another we haven't yet . Hopefully very soon though. I think it's too cold personally

No not yet, not breeding any youngsters this year so intend pairing first few days of February let them sit eggs a week then split the sexes, should give 4 or 5 weeks to get them going around the loft then training chucks depends on the weather in March though. I think first race is 9th April but I reckon bird flu will delay racing until May. Hope I'm wrong.

no ive not paired up yet , probably will do within a couple of weeks........but not yet . cocks are calling it eager ......

Just bringing @ 12 to 14 Yb's in to train up and maybe get first one or 2 races, no messing about with empty eggs, broken eggs, double corn bill and all the work rearing babies with having limited time for foreseeable future. Although there's a latebred cock here, something about him, I might put to one side and try a pair off him when weather warms up and it's lighter on evenings.

i like yer thinking colin ,i will be pairing on the traditional valentines day mid feb,breeding earlier and not being on the dark is pointless as they get lazy around the loft unless flagged which i wont do atb to all members with there breeding season

I've paired up only because I have pigeons for breeder buyer sales and they have to be in the pens day of sale first sale on 26th of Feb

collected my 160 rings this morning, club meeting was well attended, the best ive ever seen i think .........16 members were there, and another application from a new member.

since the new lady secretary took over last year, the club is definitely on the up, shes probably the best sec we`ve had , or one of them ........

What happened regarding the, if you do not fly proposition?.

Think a lady can be a very good influence in a club as well as a very good secretary.

yes misty,my brothers wife used to be their club secretary a few years back, he said she was the best sec they ever had .......maybe her being a secretary as a job helped .

yes misty it was mentioned........it turns out it had been written down wrong in the book by the previous sec, it should have been worded " those who do not race will be asked to hand their ETS back, so someone else could use it if needed"

ive not seen the club as positive, and with as many good members getting involved for quite a while, they all seem enthusiastic for the 2022 season .

May I just ask here, Mr Peel were you happy last year there all things considered, with your general major loft alterations you did. Just curious here in a curious sort of way .
