Time Goes Quick

just been looking on ebay, came across some bricklaying tools which were advertised as vintage, it was a WHS trowel the same one i have since i was an apprentice ....my daughter is 30years old and my trowel and spirit level etc are older than she is .

Bet they saw more work in a day than the more modern ones David.

Also saw brickies can now earn £125,000 a year Sun 26th March.

Thinking of coming out of retirement David

when i bought mine it was 12 inch, now i think its around 8 .....so seen some action in my younger days .......

yes misty the older ones are better than the modern ones , icut cut a brick with the side of mine but wouldnt attempt it with the modern ones, probably break it . no plans for re starting misty ......

David other posts are ok but size is just right on this post

marshall town or something like that were the best trowels about when i was on the sites ,so ya dont fancy making a comeback then david

i have a marshall town usa philadelphia pattern trowel as well darren, i do like the shape of the blade but still prefer the whs .......in my younger days the main ones were whs and tyzack , i liked the tyzack because it had a longer handle .

i do plan on re pointing our house this summer, but no plans for anything else ......
