found out theres a good few of our club members joined another local club, there will be a few resignations come the AGM , at least 4 i reckon .

Cannot understand having two clubs in the same area today.

around 3 miles apart misty, and both fly different routes, one with the leeds amalgamation the other with the gya ......

plus our clubs radius is only 1 1/2 miles the other is massive .

See the problem David, hard one to solve.

Just hope it does not affect your club too much, not nice to lose members.

no its not misty, thats true ......our club has been doing well with new members over the last couple of years, but one thing i personally dont like is paying in advance for sending the birds racing, if paid in advance then if you loose all your birds in the first 2 races then its a waste of money , yet the fed still get paid .

i`d much prefer to pay as you enter each week, if you dont enter you dont need to pay .....simple, and fair .

Never actually heard of paying in advance David until someone mentioned it on site a while back.

How do you work out how much to pay, is there a limit on entries ?.

Would not suit me, nor me thinks most fanciers.

last time i raced misty it was £70 to send up to 12 birds i think or £140 to send up to 25 birds, dont quite me on it because im really not sure ...but i do know it has gone up now so how much and for how many is something i dont have a clue about

if members send over that amount they per an added amount per bird.

i personally do not like this method, and when the club voted to go with the leeds amalgamation and pay this way, there was me and one other member voted against it, all the rest voted for it ....but now some of them tell me they dont like this way.

i think this is why some are joining the other club , plus some of them arnt wining like they used to do, and arnt happy .......

local club had no members send any birds can't be many more years left in the sport

started off with good entries in our club, numbers have gradually gone down over the weeks , i think some of them are sending in the other local club .....

i think we have around 17 members, yet only 6 entered yesterday .......

our members entering this year has dwindled , a lot not sending and some sending in other clubs ....i know at least 3 members are resigning from the york road club to fly in another local club, the future for the york road club doesnt look too good .

members have all stopped sending here in local club in fed 10 clubs 90 members just over a thousand birds
