Should think they should do it in around 3 1/2 hours when they are up and hope they have good returns. Regards. |

| Just returned from having lunch out, sat outside, couple of batches of racers went over flying North apparently having a hard time not scooting along.
Depending how far they are from home some will not make it, just hanging on the back.
Looked in on the RPRA and they have a few back, roughly in what time I thought they would take.
Hope they get most back.
Regards. |

No distance to lose so many pigeons from George. Most racing pigeons, even the dummies should fly that distance with no problem, even if they are a little later than the better ones, we all know dummies are bred from what fanciers think their best breeders but the vast majority of reasonable fanciers pigeons will fly that distance with no problem, maybe not in good time but they would return. Something amiss with OL races. Regards. |

| Hard to understand just what goes on in the OL events.
Some club and fed races have very bad returns on regular basis.
Although fanciers enter from what they think are the best breeders, the best breeders can breed their fair share of rubbish and most only enter a few speculative entries more in hope than anticipation.
The fancier I read about who sends 10 to OL events ( all he deals in) is very pleased if he has 3 in the final.
Although I feel there could be many improvements to OL races and more information given to the participants, it an't sraight forward.
Regards. |

Suggested that George several times. It would be costly but the RPRA could finance such an event to find out just what happens to those lost, you would know where every one was at any one time. Those lost before training could be for several reasons, some may never actually settle in the loft and find pastures new, maybe some are culled, and maybe for good reason, but not a good idea to broadcast. Very difficult subject George without all the facts. Would not like to have the responsibility myself. Regards. |

The answer George is YES. Also I feel it should be done. It would be enlightening in many ways. Small birds, moths etc; are tracked over thousands of miles, they know where they are at any one time. There also may be the possibility of getting funds towards doing so from a Government Department. I had a video of China testing pigeons through nuclear zones. Loaned it out never got it back. All it needs is the RPRA to get some backbone and sort matters out. Regards. |

He could write a best seller, HOW TO LOSE RACING PIGEONS WITHOUT EVEN TRYING. Even so a new manager will not solve the problems involved. We have no idea exactly what goes on and why so many are lost. Regards. |

So it would mean transporting the loft to the new site.
Come on David you could take this on in your spare time and lose less pigeons.
Bet the retiring manager could write a book, HOW TO LOSE RACING PIGEONS WITHOUT EVEN TRYING.
Regards. |

| Appears a nice day for them, should do reasonable time.
Far too many lost without any reasonable explanation nor any apparent concern. Regards.. |
