| those are good results george and you never know it may breed well, you have tried the non racing well bred route to no avail and personally think you are on the right track and need a bit of luck to find a good breeding pair and breeding off proven racers will narrow the odds ,good luck with the hen |

| George the numbers involved in the races involved are no more than a decent club race.
Taking the opinion that it did well, there are several that did better.
If you believe in eye sign, the eye shown on the photograph would be called pathetic.
There is not nor ever has been a pair of pigeons that breed all winners in good competition.
When fanciers enter OL races they are not after breeders but breed pigeons to win races.
We know, we know, Dick down the road did this and Jack did the other there are exceptions and all kinds of anomolies involved but common sense should be involved and applied.
Chopping and changing reduces the chance of success, no pair of pigeons breed all winners.
Hope things work out George but Rome was not built overnight.
Regards.

| i was going on the numbers enter also very few gift you a good bird and very few for sale i have birds that were injured and the owners did not want them back that should have been a warning i only want birds that have been tested should also have said the owner gifted me 2 birds from a olr final so i know the owner and if he was buying it back it was worth buying |

| a good way to build from george, tried and tested pigeons ........way better than all these adverts in the pigeon books selling untried and untested birds from untried and untested ancestors .....good birds dont always breed good birds, but crap birds rarely breed a good bird .
so you have at least a chance with race tested birds in my humble opinion george . |

Know I am playing Devils Advocate George but someone has to, to give an all round assessment, no good just having one opinion. The velocity in real terms means nothing other than the weather was in the pigeons favour, as others were doing similar velocities and above. Also you are on a hiding to nothing unless you can ensure the pigeons you breed are tested in a proper manner, unless you can you are wasting your time. Some of the best pigeons have been bred from the last two pigeons paired up after all the BEST had been. As I have said, Rome was not built in a day and no pair of pigeons breed all winners testing two youngsters off a pair is not any guide to their ability to breed winners. Would have a sit down George and have a real think what you realy want to do. Regards. |

Can understand your position George believe me. The pigeons and your cat friend offer a means of comfort and enjoyment. Tis a pity you cannot race them yourself, the pigeons not the cat. Just seems you have not thought out exactly what you intend doing with the young ones. Point is, as long as you enjoy what you do is all that matters. Regards.. |

| right misty let me explain the chap who owned the bird i bought and my friend buy birds from 2 fanciers for olr this fancier had already gifted me free 2 birds from the pride of the potteries olr from a entry of 1500 birds so i know the birds they buy are from 2 good lofts i was told by my friend this was a really good bird so i bought it not just any bird i was told to buy this one it had a reserve of £150 so i had to go to 160 but with a courier fee of 25 i'm happy with that and the 4 birds from olr this year i know they are well bred |

| give it a go george its all fun and games eh,beware of pigeons only doing well in high velocity races but this hen seems consistent so one would think worth a go as it will have good constitution i would think ,so good constitution and consistent is a good platform imo ,good luck george |
