| Get yerselves there If ever it's scaled down or finished altogether you'll wish you had visited. Too late then Agree it takes a few ££££ quid but if you don't buy pigeons or a load of junk in bottles or plastic stuff for the loft then the entry fee is still worth it. Friday pm till Sunday noon for us, about a 3 hour drive with a 15 min minute break somewhere along the road. Train is a decent option if you don't have to change more than once and you buy a saver ticket in advance; but 2 or 3 changes for me and waiting time between connections makes it a 6 hour trip. So car it is; about £30 - £35 for petrol, BB @£140 for 2 nights then pocket money so you still need plenty £££ and not so easy for everyone to find just after Christmas . |

| Always a very good weekend.
Well worth the effort once a year.
Always drove there myself and son but many fanciers clubbed together and hired a coach for the weekend.
Think finances are beginning to bite, all the basics going up and certain things are far more important, our better halves and family.
Cannot see things getting any better and may not be long before you do not have the opportunity.
All the best to those who make it.
Regards. |

At this moment in time I am not racing, but I am separating from my partner off 25 years due to saying I am getting a pigeon loft set up to race again. She says no and I say looks lie we may be splitting up then and she said OK then and I said fine not paying for a mortgage and having no pigeons, will be putting the house up for sale soon then getting my own property with a large garden to get a good sized loft(s) in |

Can understand your feelings for our feathered friends been through it all, heartbreak at times does not describe it. Hope it works out for you both. Regards.. |
