Morning all Another big spender type David I see it appears 81 pound peanuts normal typical spend down here, is always 500 odd dollars etc .

your a multi millionaire though knackered, im a simple low level pigeon keeper type ..... nowadays i only buy what i need to last a month or so, gone are the days i buy as much as i can fit in the car ........ storage is my main concern really ....

me a multi-millionaire type etc David sorry to burst the balloon type thing but I'm just a typical Aussie bum peasant truth be told. May live in a million dollar house but so does everybody else here etc in every 2nd house in a typical type average street around the country as such. End of the day storage isn't an issue down here fortunately with my man cave under my house. 5/6 squares there of obsolete junk now is my legacy here, gained over 50 odd years is what I have I'm with storage bins there thankfully to take 40/50 odd bags of pigeon grain if I so choose.

had bought a bird that finished 3rd in a olr final they do there own courier service £5 a bird
they offered me this hen it is a hen for £20 as the bidder did not pay it has 2ybs hatch this morning well pleased  a raced yb  bird up to 210mls

may have spoke too soon the pair i have them under the cock is not well he is 10 years old have given him a going light tablet

hopefully he will be ok george, and the ybs turn out ok .......

what age were there foster parents eggs when you switched,too far out of date with eachother maybe so the old fella may have sour crop george,or canker both fungal issues anyway so a dose of ronizadole may help for the canker,charcoal tablets for sour crop at 2 each morning for 3/4 days ,this is the reason i hate switching eggs and would always use a younger surrogate to foster to ensure robust ybs atb

he didnt do it on purpose, it was my own fault, he was going for the paper ....... a quick spray with anti bacterial and im good to go again .

im off to do some grass cutting in the back garden while its dry .

just moved some hens over the thing i have found David a cock which was very large has just finished rearing 2 fat ybs but he has lost a lot of weight

i think he will be ok george, is he healthy apart from that ? if so he should put the weight back on .... have you checked down his throat ?

might have just taken it out of him if the ybs are big and fat .

is this another bird george or the grizzle ? any new birds brought in recently ?

no new birds in that loft he is 10 years old and not filled eggs this year had moved eggs under him he is back covering the 4 day old ybs so think he should be ok now

sometimes things can be carried from loft to loft on yer feet george ,or its airborne ...sounds positive so fingers crossed for you

just took a tick out of one of the dogs, my daughter noticed it on his head earlier ......... covered it in rubbing alcohol and pulled it out with tweezers , small hole in his head but it will be healed in a day or two, cant notice it .
