How many lost..........?

hi all , how come your in such a mess with your records david it only take a few minutes to
write down there numbers , get your self sorted man

hi kev, other years ive always kept some sort of records, with me not racing the only records which mattered i suppose was which ybs were bred off which parents.......this first year back to racing my notes were none existant, mainly i think to begin with was becuse only a small percentage of eggs were hatching therefor having to concentrate on at least trying to get some ybs which i could race.....then there were the rings which came in a bag and were not in order because they were not on string, i know this will sound a cop out but i just rung ybs with any ring i picked out of the bag and didnt bother to write it down........miss-management i know but i always seemed to put things off till another day, then never bothered..........

i have a book don, just the problem is i cant be bothered to write in it........

seriously though, ill need to get up to date and write down which ybs are off which parents.....if i see the bird i know but if a bird is lost and reported i have no idea which it is..........

Mate not telling you to suck eggs, but as soon as you pair up then write your pairings down then everytime you have to ring a youngsters just take your book with you and as soon as you ring a youngster straight in the book the number goes, done dusted no mess up mate

kens been trying to get this into my head for the past two years............ ill get round to it eventually.

If you lads saw the kind of records I keep you would be amazed, I keep records of how many times they fart, and in which direction it was going..lol

i know a certain one of our members who is the same martyn, i wont mention his name..... but it is best to do it this way as you can always refer back to it in future.

always try to keep acurate records david,then you always have the information you may need on certain birds/breedings.

yes, let the records go a bit this season...........ill try put down what i still know for this year, suppose its better than nothing.......

i found it easier when i have my rings in numerical order, usually on string but this year they are in a bag...........no excuse i know but for someone lazy like me its no good.

For me it was a must to have a record of all youngsters and from which parents they were from

I sometimes look back to training records or breeding from 1997, on the long winter nights when theres nothing on TV. surprising what you gorgot in the past things which might be good for the future. This is why I keep records and I always will, right down to things which birds do out of the ordinary. I know when any given bird was hatched , weaned, and when it took its first flight. Its a bit sad but Im obsessed.

Some of my eye pictures I have taken with my macro lense, others are from websites, as I have said before I am a bit obsessive especially about eyes. As I mostly only have janssens then , yes I think this is one.
