just like to thank steve for coming to collect the two ybs from me today, it was a pleasure to meet him........he is a great bloke and will be an asset to any pigeon club he joins/races with in the future, we had a very interesting chat about when steve kept and raced pigeons when he was younger and also discussed his plans for his return to racing...look forward to meeting up with him and other members if i manage to get to the blackpool show this year.

Same hear David have never smoked and only have 1 or 2 cans every few weeks if the mood takes me, as i say can take it and leave it does not bother me

i have tried it when i was younger, when i was a teenager and going out with mates because they all drank i tried to get the taste for it to be the same......but it just tasted horrible to me and i just left it at that and never bothered since.

My dad was a piss head come weekend, a hard working man in a foundry all week come week ends he would hit the beer then the arguements so that is the reason why i don't drink

a lot of people are like that don, great person sober but once they have had a drink they alter.....i dont like being around a drinker, bad atmosphere and trouble as far as im concerned.

Great to meet you David. I'm very grateful for the birds but I'd also like to say that it was also a pleasure to meet the driving force behind this site which I (and I'm sure others do too) find to be a really welcoming, informative and interesting place to exchange ideas and information as well as to ask questions and just chat to other pigeon folk, there are other pigeon forums but this is the one I prefer. I wish it and you every success.

thanks steve, always a pleasure to have good members on the site.........im sure when your up and running with your birds our members will be happy to help should you need any advise/tips etc.

p.s. did you arrive home before it got dark.......? how did the ybs take to their new home ?

Ian you don't read much do you, if you see what i have written you would have seen that i have a family and my family mean more to me than pigeons at the moment and i am also in full studies which i hope will help me progress with my future at work

So at this present time you could say i am taking a well earned rest after racing for over 20 years with my father, but i will race again when i have plenty of time on my side to do the birds justess

Ian i will say one thing when i race again i will be asking you for some youngbirds if that is o.k
