our 2011 yellows are more or less the same as 2006 rings, also the 05 and 09 pink gb rings were the same.........it seems the same colours go round and round every few years doesnt it........

i recieved our club rings and they are yellow - i dont like them, i prefer the NWHU which are blue

Well our 2011 whpu rings are a very deep blue, totally different from last years GB rings, dont like them at all, red is my fav colour for the rings, red fading in the sun>HA HA where I live they dont live long enough to fade.lol

Hi David I have tousands of eyes on my computer going way back, I think that is one of mine first one that has been, would have to look at my details to see what it is though. looks like a breeder to me so would be a janssen of some type.

hi martyn, did you ever see how two pearls paired togeather did, what happened with the ybs ? ive just got two pairs of janssens (dont know if hes give me them or lent me them )............one cock has a pearl eye and the other has a yellow, plus the same with the hens, wondering if i should put the pearls togeather or put a pearl to a yellow.

Hi david, I would always put pearl to yellow If it was possible to do, however I wouldnt hesitate to put pearl to pearl, there are so many different types of pearl with thousands of different base coulor variations, so the chance of putting 2 identical pearls together is slim. There are white pearls which are almost the same and have very little base colour, I have found these eyes dont go well together and should be avoided. My pearl experiements are on going but I must say at this stage my better racer have come from oposite eyes. Intersting enough I have found 2 brilliant eyesign birds together are not good either, my fed winner last year came from a brilliant eyesign pearl hen paired to a orange racing eye cock with no eyesign at all ..If he were forsale and I looked at his eye I wouldnt buy him.

the great albert marcelis never paired 2 birds together with the same coloured eye nor would he pair the the same colour ie blue to blue or red to red

have read the janssen bros regularly put pearl to pearl, but as martyn says...im reluctant.

Yes david you are right the janssens said, often they had no choice and had to pair pearl to pearl and with good results, wouldnt we all like to fly as well as them boys?
