What colour 2011 rings................?

what colour do members think the 2011 rings will be, im guessing yellow

grey /white be nice to see some red for a change think the last time we had red was 1998/99 i think

Hmm, probably white. Although i'd like to see some Red ones

over last few years weve had pink twice 05 and 09, yellow white and green......cant think what else they could do this time really thats why im going for yellow

i think yellow/orange was 2000/2001 david

yes that true alex, 06 was yellow........... i only know back to 05 which was pink, up until this years blue.

i didnt have pigeons until 08 rene so i cant remember these................

Same here, only back to 2005. The reason that is, is because last Saturday, when I picked up the majority of my birds from someone in the club, I got a look round for about 2 hours, and he has birds from 05 that are retiring, all the way up till 2010. The only ones I can remember is 2005 Pink, 2006 Yellow, 2008, Green, and 2010 Blue ofcourse Can't remember 2007, or 2009 I had alot to take in

2007 were white alex, and 2009 were pink.............

i remember when i raced before in the 60`s the rings were yellow and green then so they just go round and round being a different colour each year, but always the same half dozen or so...........

what made you start with pigeons alex ? did your dad or friends/family have them in the past ?

Well my dad has always wanted bop in the past He used to work with someone on one, flights and displays and things like that. He then had Owls years ago. Then recently he got back into birds again because he has free time now, and he's known the secretary for years at Kempston so he helped us out starting with a couple of birds, and it's progressed from there. New loft is coming over the next few days, nothing huge but we do have a 20 odd foot shed that will be right next to it doing nothing, so theres room for future expansion

sounds good alex, great to see a new starter being enthusiastic (?) so will you and your dad be racing as partners ?

Yep we will be Not looking to doing amazing, just perform well allround. If my dad hadn't got me interested we would have never started. My brothers interested in them too, but i'm not sure if he will pursue it.

in the time ive been back into pigeons ive had a lot of help from our members and without them i wouldnt have a clue...............im sure if you come accross any problems they will be happy to advise.

there is plenty of time over the winter to ask any questions and read up on previous posts ready for next season.........

Yep I will be sticking about here, the members are really helpful with my questions, and hopefully in time I will be able to help other new members A nice friendly bunch, and I have learnt loads already reading. Best pigeon forum in my opinion (and i'm sure the other members will say the same )

yes the site has always been friendly alex, it seems that when there are thousands of members like some of the big sites it seems to be a battle ground for trouble.......... with our site being small in members everyone knows each other and is happy to help out, look forward to you entering the shows along with our other members too and also maybe you might join in a yb exchabnge like we did for 2010 ybs if we do it again.

It's good to get to know people here, and as you said, it is much less of a battle.

I look forward too, will see how I do And yep I would be interested in the yb exchange if it is done again, sounds great.

i rember yellow years back not sure but i think it was 1976 time showing my age now lol

just checked back on my old ring list 1977 was yellow.and 1987 and 1992 and 2006.god where have theos years gone lol

green was 1976,1983.1988.1993 lol
