    went to b and q the other day to price some ply, £10 for a small piece.....couldnt beleive it, looks like ill be re-thinking making my own sputnic type traps now...... scratch

    i went in to bq to david even went to wood placce near me and it was 28 pound a sheet even 6m ply board would work out for 4 box would need 3 sheets wich is 40 pound ....

    yes i did too phil, think it was prox 14 ml and should work out cheaper than ply maybe.

    the price of wood is realy high at the moment i work part time for build base
    so i get mine cheap im doing the front of my loft at the moment with wood i got for free
    all old stock decking fencing posts im like kid in a sweet shop saved loads of money .

    yes a shame kev, i went to price ply and it was unbeleivable for a small piece........was going to make some traps because i thought it would work out cheaper but by the time ive made them i dont think it will.

    cheapest way is chipboard
    maybe not the best
    but will get few seasons out of them
    that what i have used for last few lots i have made for lads
    last ones i made for myself where out of old table tennis tabble tops
    these have lasted very well

    agree with kev david,wood is quite dear at the moment,would suggest shoping around a bit as you could find it a bit cheaper.

    its for outside steve, but woder if it would be ok if i painted/stained it....? ive already got a load of chipboard.
