been painting

had a day off today so i painted on of the sections in the old bird loft
its been painted lovely shade of orange

A warm colour for the winter Kev

that,s what i thought ken , sweating my arse off when i did it
birds will have a shockl tomorrow when i let them back in .

never really gave it much thought about the colour of the inside always stuck with plain white, orange is more bright and cheerfull, think you better give the birds sun glasses when you put them back in lol

about pale green it just what im going to paint the yb section with got a big pot of it .
multi coloured swap shop my loft ill take a few photos and show you .

any one else paint the insides with other colours apart from white

i dont paint it at all ken, its never been done so i thought it best to leave it.........after all once its done you have to keep up to it and do it every so often dont you? and also if there is a little bit of wet seeps into the loft it makes the white go brown and scruffy.

The thing with a painted loft it looks bright and clean but agree with you once done you always have to keep on top of it, the only section i have not painted is the hen section, but if i was starting again i would not paint the insides at all just my thoughts

dont think it makes any difference to the birds, it just looks nice for the fancier........

Remember going to a fancier in my club when younger and his loft was painted in creosolte all you could see was pigeon bloom on the walls of the loft

If you look at the Dave Allen video his youngbird loft is painted pale blue which he said helped keep the birds carm

One thing with white is on a sunny day when you have to go in the loft on a race day the white can stop you seeing the pigeon them few seconds

totally agree with you don on this one not good on a sunny day blinds you too bright,

nearly painted the inside of my new loft white aswell, never though it'd be too bright , glad we didnt now

sky blue is nice and carm in the loft but it's up to you at the end of the day mate

yep it is, the works mainly like an apprenticeship though, going out learning whilst doing the theory work
