Corsa was, had to go by the wheels on the Focus... I do know cars though which made it a bit easier

yes my daughter seems to know the cars pretty well too, must be the same for all of us as when i was younger we all knew the names of them...........and also what letter was for what year.

All the classics eh David, Healeys, Avengers, Imp's, Marina's, Clubman's, Travellers and Morris 1000's

I'm more of a Vauxhall man myself...

first car i ever got was a vauxhall viva, 1970 H reg alex............kept it for about 10 years.... had fords more or less ever since.

Same car as my mum had, though hers was a 74 M reg or 75 N can't remember for certain....Vinyl roof They would be worth a bit nowadays...

yes your mum will have been a viva hc 1256 engine, mine was the hb with 1159 engine which i changed through the years to the slightly better 1256 engine.......

or alternatively it could have been a magnum/.firenza with a 1.6 or 1.8 engine...... or even a 2.3

Similar swap going to happen with mine in the next couple years....Looking to sell this one now (anyone want a nice little runabout taxed and tested £250? ) Get the Corsa in the colour/condition I wanted at the time and after getting my insurance down from 3,000...I'll be dropping a redtop from a Cavalier in it.....

2.3's are similar to what some of the survivors are running these days...Total Vauxhall magazine had the Chevettes in them a couple months back, all pushing the 350bhp mark .....

paid a fortune for my daughters insurance, but as far as i know it goes down at 21 and again at 25.......so ive told her she will have to stay with the small cars for a while. also heard insurance is more for males at 17/18 than females....

You have got it right, much more expensive... I bought a 1.2 8v though i'm going to look for a 1.0 12v next, less cc's but 10 more horsepower, and the insurance is a little bit cheaper. I was quoted from £3,000-£8,000 through various companies on the 1.2...

yes we were alex, eventually got one for 1,995 third party fire and theft.........also found its dearer to insure the exact same car 1.2 sxi 2 door, than a four door......

its the road tax that bugs me thin it should be on the price of the fuel , the more you use the car the more you pay the less you use the less you pay , sounds good to me

buy a car over 25 years old ian, then its exempt.........
