| Hi Chris, looking good mate, you will need to think about ventilation & airflow?
ideally you want fresh air coming in low level and rising internally to take out the stale air, ie some vents on the front low level with same on the back high level (also fix small guage meshing at the rear of these to reduce the risk of anything else getting in |

| certainly is cheaper chris, i started my secong trap today so only another one to go then...........my 8 x 6 ply sheet was only 12 pound and with other bits and bats wont come anywhere near as much as buying them.............plus in my opinion home made traps are stronger too. |

| yes, a lot different birdy, when i last reaced there was no such thing as darkness.......i gave it a try this season just gone just to learn a bit about it and like ian says, if you want to win you need to have them on this system......... |

| hi alex, personally i think racing old birds is harder..........young birds basically can just race to the perch, altho i have been told that some fanciers specialise in young bird racing..... |

| i remember a couple of years ago alex, nearly every yb i bred i lost off the loft when settling it..........i think its because i didnt have any birds settled at the time to keep them round home, but ive found its a lot easier when you do have some settled.......as ive virtually lost none since. |

no david dont think its because of that maybe they were too big on the wing or something but i dont ever let any other birds out when settling youngbirds i always loose a few but this is expected , let them out to walk around straight away as soon as you put them over david should have no bother |

| birds were not strong on the wing and i do let them out as soon as they are weaned, but ybs dont always get lost the firdst time or the second time they are out.........sometimes they fly off when they ARE strong on the wing, or for any number of reasons........ |
