Has anyone raced today..../

have any of our members raced today, or have they been held over......havnt seen any results

David, the UNC pigeons at folkestone national have been basketed today, race put back 24 hours so hopefully we will have some good news tomorrow

members may be interested central southern classic club had race from tarbes. liberated 7am friday only 4 birds on the day. winner john tyerman sussex timed at 8.25 flying 521 miles 2 year old hen. it was wet and very dull last night, what a game hen.

yes true shy lad, she was a game bird wasnt she....only 4 on the day eh, wonder how returns have been today.....?

very hard going id say david. bird in 50th timed at 11.25am today only doing vel of 746.300. a very hard slog for em. was fishing chesil beach dorset this evening still very hazey out at sea not racing weather at all.

i`ll bet john tyerman is well pleased with the result then eh, it does sound like its been very hard for them, and some unfavourable weather conditions too.........

Hi i have not been online for a few weeks but I am racing pigeons in the Algarve .Portugal.
Our season here actually finished today with a race from 170 miles that is the shortest race in our Fed here.
I did not send to it but in mid week I timed in a bird from Dax international Algarve/Andaluzia (Spain) 1000km or 630 miles to the loft from 3 birds sent.

I am really chuffed as it is the very first time I sent a bird this far since 1976 in the uk to Pau where my bird returned to Blackpool a week later.

The weather turned brutal the birds went on Wednesday 15th June and were held over on the Saturday due to bad weather over the pyrenees mountains (released on Sunday at 5,45 am) and the temperatures were in the high 30sC and in Seville 40sC.
I do not know he full result yet but it seems our bird is one of only 5 back in racetime to the Algarve and the other birds were on the Spanish border.
The brave bird a 3yo hen arrived at 11.32am on day 3 looking and feeling remarkably well after her ordeal. She will now go to the stockloft retired from racing.

Thanks Peel Bros, It seems you are having a great season in the club and Fed so well done to you and your birds, it takes some effort and good pigeons .
There is nothing like the feeling when the birds reward the effort that you put in and in the case of my bird from Dax she is my little Champion. lol.
