Ian how about the people that only race youngsters and have no room for other pieons ask Steve Mallett he only had room for youngsters and at the end of each season got rid of all the birds including top winners just to start again the following year |

| Remember reading in the BHW a few years ago in the letters page a mister Colin Lewis of the rhounda Valley he commented about how he would give his youngsters 40 miles first toss
But he did say that his youngsters would have to be ranging for 1 to 2 hours for well over a week, did send him a letter asking how this was and he informed me he was a big friend of Taffy Bowen had a few letters from him from time to time talking about different things
He did say he only lost a few birds and he found that once his birds had completed the first few tosses what ever was left were there at the end of the season
