| what a dissaster the peterborough race today was, they were up at 7.30am and by 11.30 there was only a handfull of birds back in the club............its been raining most of the morning and the sky was grey with no visible clouds, i wouldnt have let my birds out for exercise given the conditions here....... ive only 2 birds home out of 11 so far, im hoping to get some more working their way back home of im finished racing........... |

| hope you get em back david gutted for ya mate. and everybody else who sent or has birds that have raced threw this terrible weather, our club and fed have postponed the race until tommorow !! why if one does this and has the good reason for doing it does evrybody not do it????? considering the forcast and tech we have nowadays it just plain idiocy in my opinion, i may be new to the sport but i am no idiot that could not see this coming!!!!!! people put far to much time effort and money into there birds just for someone to throw them away. evrybody knows that this kind of weather is no good for a race especialy the youngans man. evrybody wants a race and has it timed to a tee to send them but there has got to be a point where plain common sense takes over. i am not getting at fanciers as they will send if fed combine or whatever say they are going . they at the end of the day control when where and how we send dnt they??? am i right or wrong? we dnt live in the dark ages do we and we have the tech to be ahead so this kind of thing does not happen. on long distance races i grant it is harder to judge weather it is good enough or not but on short distance races it should just not happen. jmo . |

The problem today is the biggest amount of conveyors are non fanciers and are only interested in getting back home as soon as were years ago the conveyor was also a pigeon fancier and even had there own club birds on board the same transporter |
