| would any one know of someone that sells the original old sion's ive been asked to try and get some for a guy thats just restarting in pigeons any help or info would be very much appricated thank you |

| that's a tough one rene, i'm sure you will need to go to scotland or northern ireland. will let you know if i find some but would think they would now be a cross |

| hi rene when i said finding pure sions would be a tough one i was right if you have not found any yet i have found some pure black sions but they are in the us. if you log into pigeonworld you will find some under username lawman also robbins@juno.com has some they may at some time sent birds to the uk good luck |

Hi Rene, I would say there is no such thing as pure Sions left after all these years certainly not a family winning out of turn, maybe gggggg grand children of a bird that once won a race but they are pets not racers. Jose Ledesma in Spain who runs the derby Arona Teneriffe has a family of Sions with a little Janssen in the blood and these birds win when the chips are down and they will cross the water as they descend from generation after generation that win out of turnand fly over the sea as they have to fly from islands every race they have. |

yes mate totaly agree with you on that i dont think there is any such a thing as a pure breed as every breed has been watered down with this in that and that in this |

| there was a bloke about 25 years ago i used to go and see when he was convoyer for i think woenrfc , i used to go and see him when he brought the pigeons upto lancaster as that was a race point at the time, i was only 16 and he brought me 6 youngsters up once absolute crackers mainly mealies with nut brown eyes what i can remember, he had a family of sions but sadly died he raced in somerset and his wife still did have the birds and sold ybs in the bhw from this family, i saw her advertising last year his name was paul white , hope this helps |

| yes the family i had some from were all reds and mealys but did throw the odd blue or cheq |
