cut feathers

i got a pigeon in yesterday with no ring on it its tail feathers were cut with a scissors .it wasnt flying great .i was told to pluck them all so they grow back .any idea lads what i should do to help this bird?

don,t pull them mate leave it alone and let it moult them out .

depends what your intending to do with it l/house, are you keeping it ? if so just let it moult naturally as it should be able to flutter around the loft ok..........

will grow back in pretty quickly just let i do it naturally

dont like the thought of pulling feathers needlessly..........the birds are moulting now anyway, altho it depends if they have cut the new feathers that might have already grown........... then they are not going to moult again this year are they ........

still wouldnt pull them out

it was coming threw the moult and the new feathers are cut,does that mean it will be next year before any new feathers come threw iv only a few pigeons so i have plenty of room for this bird.im just trying to help it .

leave it,,,as simple as that.what you got to lose anyway

for gods sake dont start puling the poor birds feathers out let nature take its course they will soon grow back
