does cider apple vinegar

does cider apple vinegar have any affect on pigeons droppings..i.e....change the colour,or make then slightly wetter..
i ask because i have been using it the last 2 days,and noticed a slight change in colour,and droppings are not as firm as before.

i recently had to dispatch the hen from the pair of nuns i got,due to it having paratyphoid..and now im a bit paranoid incase any of my other birds got infected by it.

if anything it will make there droppings firmer , just think the watert droppings will be down to stress especially as they are going through moult and possibly on there last flights, this is like us having a toothe ache

you must vaccianate,you,ll never get rid of it believe me...some think it will just go away but be carefull

the most used measure by what i can gather is 5ml per litre. (teaspoon)

1 capful per ltr water,as per instructions on the bottle....
the birds are currently moulting,plus had a hen laid an egg on one of the box perches yesterday,must have been mated before i put the sections in....
they all seem healthy enough,eating and drinking...i hear what you are saying peel bros....that hen must have had it before i got it,as it just didnt seem right from i got it,then when i saw the twisted head,and it couldnt fly of the ground,it was the black bag for it..
my shed is cleaned every day...sometimes twice per day...its also done with a bleach soloution once per wk,and there are no mice,nor is corn container accessible to rodents....so it deffo didnt pick it up with me,or i would have had birds sick before now.

disinfect the loft with virkons and soak the drinkers in sterilising fluid to be on the safe side also how long did you have the hen with the illness for as it may have already spread

was here for a few days...so i suppose it is possible it could have infected other birds


i do soak the drinkrs every other day in bleach,dont have any virkon s,will have to see about getting some.
i was reading on an artical about using apple cider vinegar in the water for cleaning with regards to paratyphoid.
any thoughts on that.

until you get some virkons you can wipe down the walls and floor of the loft with a watered down mix of cider vinegar as salmonella bacteria does not like an acidic enviroment but not to strong as you dont want to damage the birds airways with the vinegar fumes

I tend to use a lot of Vanodine V18, for spraying, wiping down and even put half a cap full in the drinker.
