I was intending racing this year as a partnership with my good friend Billy McKechnie but sadly he died a few months ago and I took it really bad in fact I have never grieved so much for anyone. I really lost interest and if it wasn't for Chickadee I would have given up pigeons altogether and I lost about two months work so I have that to catch up on
We have a team of about 30 youngsters but I have not had the time to spend on them getting them ranging and training as I now have a back log of work to do. If I don't make it I will have yearlings for next year and ybs as well. But wee ain't given up yet but I am not putting them in a basket till they are least ranging or training

yes i remember reading you were going into partnership racing but havnt seen you about on the internet for a while so didnt know about your friend. like you have said, theres no point throwing them away if they are not ready yet....maybe get them into some comeback races later on ? hope they do well for you if you do.

Thanks, I have some good birds or I think so at least, anyone I have had visiting me or anyone that has got birds off me have reckoned they are good uns as well and I think it is good for others to try your birds and hear what they can do with them, so fingers crossed we will get there

yes, ive not raced mine this year but a fancier i know (you will too...lol)tried 9 for me. his club had their first yb race on saturday and he got 2nd and 4th with two of the ybs i bred....so it gives me a bit of incentive for when i race next year.

Valiant has done well with my birds but he is having a crap season this year, old birds he was winning with last year were not coming home from training sessions this year

a few good fanciers i know who do quite a bit of winning havnt done as good this year for some reason.....dont know if its the weather or if the birds just arnt good enough now. some have gone on to the ets for the first year and are having trouble getting them to adjust.

Yes it seems to be the same in quite a few places, I am off to bed and I ain't proping up this impostors welcome any more
