A few pics of our mission to Blackpool this year

The first morning of the show, up half the night sorting stuff out , making final preparations.

anyway gary,about your trip to blackpool........will you be setting off at silly o clock again this year, will it be for just the day and will you be meeting up with some of our members.....?

It all starts on Friday for us mate, booking in, setting up the stall and the like. We always like to take two batches of birds, one Saturday and one Sunday, this saves them being cooped in a basket all weekend. We will be the there for duration.
Hope to see many faces new and old. Everyone is welcome to pop in and see us.
I might even talk crap.

no seriously tho`, so what birds will you be selling ? obviously old/yearlings etc.....but are they what you have too many of, or are they what you have bred specially to sell ? or will they be stock birds.....?


p.s. make sure the battery is fully charged this year......

We have been asked for the last two years for youngbirds. Usually what we sell are excess birds.
Sometimes we might have a good year with yb's. But end up with too many. But may be too good to bin bag. Only having limited space and obviously many perches are earned, so we select the best. The rest sadly have to go. Some usually have minor cards.
Others are generally latebreds from our OB team. These really are very well bred and untested, some we may keep for flying out stock. The surplus again have to be disposed of.
With not breeding last year, we have decided to sell a limited amount of youngsters from our stock pairings. Some have been pre ordered by some of our regulars. Others are going on general sale.
We never sell any other birds by any other channels. Just Blackpool and that's it. We do earmark others that go into charity sales and futurity sales.
At the moment I don't think we will selling any older stock birds.
Don't worry we have got a booster pack now.
