i cant believe it iv had my new loft up two weeks wife said to me friday night id like you to get rid of the pigeon loft i dont want you haveing them i told here you only live once and you got to do what you want in life and im going to race pigeons
so we had a chat about it and shes leaveing after Christmas and wants 50,000 half the profit from the house lol
ill be raceing next season no worrys looking forward to it

sorry to hear this evs, seems its a common thing with pigeon men and thier wife`s......did you and the wife not discuss you keeping pigeons before you bought the new loft ?

yes we did but its one of them power thing with her but iv had it now keep moaning all the time ill be dead in 30 years can do with out it now

like my misses then thinks she owns me guess what shes still here haha and i still got my pigeons haha

I went through it, back in 2006 and got rid of years of hard work. we still split up the beginning of the following year. It's shit mate. I know where your at..
My mate Kev took a good few of my birds to the allotment and then the same happened to him just over three years ago. But I helped him through it.

before i was diagnosed with cancer my wife hated me having the birds but when you are faced with possible death then nothing matters any more you put life into perspective she doesnt mind now thank god lol

fair shout evs good on you, some women just want to rule the roost and my mrs said the same but
2 lofts and 2 flights and more birds later we are stil together she can do what she wants indoors but the gardens mine but i do let her have a small area for the sunlounger

sorry to hear your news evs,

must just be me,but i cant understand why some women have a prob with guys keeping pigeons,and its not just pigeon men it happens with,was the same with some of the guys who showed finches as well,so dont think you are only ones picked on..lol
personally,im only to glad to get the men out of the house for a while,gets my head showered..lol

what does your husband think to you keeping pigeons birdlady, is he part of the management of the birds or are they just yours.......?
my wife doesnt have anything to do with my pigeons and doesnt complain about them really, but when theres an arguement she always brings them up as a weapon against me...........

Because they feel as though they are taking a back seat. Very few wives, girlfriends actually get involved and help you with your hobby. If you find one that does, well chaps you've found a real gem.

i think partners should be happy thay you have found a hobby and that your not in the boozer all night or skulking about having an affair and the like or in your case chris coming out of the closet ..........my wife gets involved to a certain extent but turns her nose up at the scraper lol and does grumble at being kicked out of bed at 5 am on a summers morning to go and train the ybs but after all the moaning she still does it and she loves to see the birds come home from the races ,so i consider myself to be very lucky all in all but if a woman realy loves you she will be at your side and if she dont its not worth her being there

my new partner loves the birds she said shes gona have her own y/b and show me how its done lol bless her and i wouldnt put money on her being wrong cus how many woman you know are to be honest ever wrong not many ffs what am i saying
