does anyone wear a loft coat or the same top etc when they go int the loft ? i usually wear a blue hooded top but if i go in with a different coloured one or bottoms which are a total different colour the birds are on edge because they dont seem to recognise me....any thoughts anyone ?

well our club fees not changed for a few years i pay about £40.i know our lib driver wants a pay rise and cant blame him.and with everthing else going up all the time like petrol and maitanace work to keep the lib lorry on the road if our club fees have to go up and i want to still race my birds i will pay its still a cheap hobby i reckon i dont think its expensive and i dont mind paying for all the hard work the fed and others put in to keep our sport afloat.

yes i agree mark if its round 50 quid its not too bad, if it went a lot higher tho i think it would drive some out of racing as with the price of corn and other things pigeon keeping isnt cheep....plus considering money to send every week it soon mounts up.

theres a proposal for the race entry fee per bird to be 80p each for the first 10 birds sent and 50p for each bird over that....how does this compare with others clubs ?

yes its true don, if i wore tracksuit bottoms and then jeans they wont come and sit on me....they are a bit wary and they notice something is different. i think its best anyway if the fancier could wear a loft coat all the time so the birds get to know it , plus it would keep your cloths clean as when i come back up into the hose ive white floor powder all over me.......

yes don, i can beleive it....when mine are exercising at home if ive a different top on they notice and seem edgey. or if its been hot and ive took my top off with a t-shirt on they sometimes dont want to come in so i have to put my top back on....... wouldnt risk it on race days tho, every thing would have to be just the same as what they are used to....

thats i bit steep david thats fed fees that is for channel race for us, so i agree with you if it got to that much in my club i may have to think of packing in racing.i pay 35p per bird in club and 50p fed

adds up doesnt it mark, what if people are entering 30, 40 birds or more ? £££££££££s
