Clearly , David can handle such situations , i wouldnt like it if he speak like that of my daughter .
Anyway , back to pigeons, is the sport growing in England , or is there a decline?

Also when you come into this sport you have to beat the best there are no different levels for people to compete at and that is what makes it hard at times

agree with all of the above posts don, spot on....didnt have computers when i was a kid to sit in front of all night.... lol! (hypocrite or what ? im on here all night...lol) true what you say don about being costly as when i started last year i didnt realise by the time i had bought birds, loft, drinkers, nestboxes etc, etc it cost quite a bit of money. true again don, returning or starting out a novice you are in at the deep end in compatition with the top flyers.... rendeer

hopefully when i restart next season ill catch them napping, so to speak....hopefully they wont be expecting a "novice" to be flying on the darkness system, so by the time they realise ill have won the first 6 positions ... lol!

If it was possible for people with the same level of ability were racing comes to it, then they can have a chance of winning something which may help with keeping them in the sport longer

Were we want young people to take up the sport perhapes we could provide them with a small loft at a reduced cost, fees and racing costs at a reduced rate just to help promote the sport and make it a little cheaper to fly

hi don. ive found by talking to some local fanciers who have been in it for many years that they have lost sight of wanting to win any more, they are breeding from the same birds they have been breeding from for the last 10 years or more and not breeding anything to win anything......seems as though they are disheartened because they never win and so they are giving the top flyers a free run, also some of them are not even flying widowhood and never even tried darkness.....they seem to think its all too much hard work, which lets face it its not easy, as with any system ....but they dont seem as though they even want to win any more. No
