Fanciers Action Day 8

Much is going on over the next few days and we aim to now step our action.
As promised PIPA has helped us highlight our cause on their website

well done gary, just read your report on pipa, this should get the petition good coverage not only accross the uk, but also accross europe etc..........one thing i did notice there is no link from this to the petition, have i missed it or is it on a different page.

i certainly do too gary, a good write up like that on PIPA can only help the cause.........they claim to be the most up to date pigeon site in the world with any pigeon news and theres no doubt that they are, no other site has this much information and coverage..........

It's good to see that they are not to big to help the little man, unlike the over here in the UK.
Out of all the emails I sent the other day, I received only one back.
That was from Joseph Dorning, who has also sent me graphic photo's of some of his birds, that have been attacked and sadly some killed.
Every credit to him.

yes i agree gary, its shamefull the petition hasnt got the support it deserves from top organisations/fanciers here in the uk, its alright lining their pockets with all things pigeon, but ask for something back and they dont want to know........

i think these who have snubbed the petition should be named on the forums......

saw this earlier when i went on pipa, every credit to you gary and them for taking the time to put it on the site

Being the person, that I am David, I always tend to give people the benefit of the doubt. There are huge rifts, within the fancy, be this be by rival fanciers, or rival clubs.
But I would suggest, that we all wipe the slate clean and start afresh.
This is for the good of the fancy and the continuation of the sport that we so dearly love and the birds that we have great affection for.
The shame will at the end of the day, will be on them and as support for the fancy increases, I too shall increase the who is supporting the fancy page and if their name does not appear on it, then they are not in it.
I have sent emails to some of the biggest sellers of pigeons and products in the UK. Shamefully none have responded.
But saying that, can you blame them, considering the poor response from the fanciers themselves.
I do feel sorry, for the minority of fanciers like yourself David, who are pulling their guts out and those spending money out of their own pockets, to try and support the campaign for the majority of fanciers, who just to be honest, couldn't give a toss.
I would love to be proved wrong, but as they say, time will tell.

im due for a visit to the corn shop next week some time gary, i will go to the library and print off a petition and see if i can leave it with the corn man........

These are all actions, that everyone could undertake, it doesn't take much, but it all goes towards helping.
As anyone picked up there pigeon mags yet?
If there's no mention of the petition, I'm going to kick off.
Lee from the racing pigeon said he was going to do something this week and I know the homing the world are more than aware of what we are doing.
Hell I might even resurrect, my old scribe status

not found it yet gary, something i have found is an article from the house of HOUSE OF LORDS DINNER, presenting a whole list of people with thousands of pounds in donations.............one being gloria hunnyford for he daughter caron keating foundation for £3210, maybe she could be asked to sign the petition along with the other charities who received donations fromn the rpra/pigeon fanciers.

no mention of the petition by what i can see gary, only had a quick look through but cant see anything..............seen plenty of donations being doled out though.

There's a a surprise. Hmm, will have to send a few emails today I think.

ill have a more thourough look, but on first glance nothing jumps out at me............did he say where it was going to be, in the letters page etc ?

He didn't mate. he just said he wanted to support us and was going to make an announcement this week.
Lets hope we get some good support from the European Fanciers, after all we are all in the same predicament.

386 signatures gary, theres people signing from allover the world.........even one from the Czech Republic.

Maybe with help of the European fanciers, it may create a bigger response. No other campaign has taken the route we are taking, lets hope this is the right way to get the response we need to highlight this huge problem.
