67 Year Old Pigeon Fancier Fined

Andrew Hutchison from Fife find £350 & orderd to pay £1.500 to the owner, for killing a Holyrood Hawk that was attacking one of his pigeons. Why cant we protect our pigeons & get compensation.

i think the owner of the hawk should have been fined, for his bird killing some ones pet........



the law in this country stinks, it favours the criminal........

Just me BUT I'm the type that goes for "DOUBLE" or nothing.
He would be Another Hawk short next time he counted them.

exactly rene,whats the difference we protecting our birds.i would do exactly the same as this bloke and worry about it later

your right ray, and i think most pigeon men would too...........

the thing is though, the owner of the hawk should have had it under proper control, they can make a law over night against dangerous dogs, so why does he be made to keep it under control............?

i think ive read about this before. and i don't think the falcon actually killed any of this guys birds and that's why he didn't have a leg to stand on. from what i read the bird got out of control in a strong wind and ended up in the guys garden

as most of you can see from my avatar im also a falconer and would of been more than pissed if this guy had killed my hawk.


imo this is one of the things they will through at us if we try to go for a cull or are allowed to shoot a certain species to protect our birds. if you cant tell the difference between a gyr/perigrine hybrid (if this is the same story im sure thats what the bird was) which looks nothing like a wild bop in this country then there's no way we are going to be allowed to take pot shots at anything with a hooked beak

the way i see it were all bird men and wee need to stick together as the antis are after us all

the lurcher terrier guys got it first the falconers are next and pigeon men arnt to far behind

ffs now we got the pigeon police ....the country is on its knees with cut backs and they persecute some poor man for defending his own birds on his own property .......the laws gone mad

they got to re-coup the money from somewhere darren, to make up for all the over seas aid they throw at them................
