| I think the name could be misleading. As the last thing we want to do is form an alliance with raptors. But it does sound a little like the raptor defence lets not get the two confused eh.

| Ive had it mate with the whole lot of it. I did all that I could, with nothing. It never cost the fanciers a penny. Now let me see what they are going to do with the money. A good PR Company, that's half of it gone already. Now are they going to promote pigeon racing with the rest or start doing a survey. Hmm, they have run out of money. Lets have some pigeon sales. Maybe not, the bops have eaten them. |

| having read through this i get the impression they are being very nieve about the situation and there proposed plan of attack......i get the impression they are taking things too lightly and actually believe it is straight forward.
it seems like they are grasping at straws to me....JMO |

| You would have thought a big organisation like that would have come up with something a bit more original. Anyways it serves the rest of the fanciers right, they might as well dig deep and shell out for someone to do summat for um, because it was obvious they didnt want to support a freebie. A 100,000 signatures, deja vu. I'm just trying to think what else I said in me phone calls. Good luck to em, they are gonna need it. |

| i dont think we will hear much about it after a while, people tend to start off with big ideas and promises but it fades away after a while and is forgotten about.......i think with all the letters and suggestions there has been in the homing world by fanciers, the rpra have realised they had to look as tho they were doing something, because it was obvious to every pigeon fancier in the uk they didnt give a toss.
make the right noises and the mugs will follow like sheep, thats the rpra`s thoughts. |

| I'm sorry but the name keeps banging around in my head. Why the the f**k the Raptor Alliance. We don't want any ALLIANCE WITH RAPTORS. Definition of Alliance: the state of being allied or confederated, an organization of people (or countries) involved in a pact or treaty, a formal agreement establishing an association or alliance between nations or other groups to achieve a particular aim, the act of forming an alliance or confederation. Why not pigeon alliance, UK Alliance,.
Surely Raptor Alliance. We are not Raptors, our birds are not raptors, maybe we could see sponsored by the RSPB somewhere.

| totally agree gary, its been puzzling me too............it makes it sound as tho it is a few small bop/raptor groups who have come together to form as one. very strange choice of name, wonder who thought that one up......? mark avery maybe |
