well my 1st race from St.malo today and the weather aint to good fine drizzle and cloud cover at the moment here but with the birds goin to the froggy liberator they will gop up regardless hope i beat the girls lol

clocked in after 1 hr 53 minutes 101 miles a bit behind the leaders and i got 4 out of 6 so far my first bird was my last in last weeks disaster

I had the younguns out this morning, the older ones are flying extremely well and high, this is what I like to see in my yb, they were flying for a constant 30 mins and trapped like good uns.

had my ybs out earlier, all went up and were flying in a bunch, then i saw about 40 ybs by the look of it and mine disapeared with them........they were missing for about 30 mins then in ones and twos they came back, still a mealy cock missing and its been nearly two hours, hope he comes back............

I have had a few disappear for hours this week the longest was six hours. But they have all come back.

thanks gary, hope he does........i was happy with how they went up and were flying high up in a bunch, then i saw about 40 of them fly round and mine joined them........ive no idea if they were local birds or if they themselves were ranging, but mine went with them and as i say one still missing.

im off over to see if hes back, before i have a brew.........

It's all part of the learning process mate.
I have had two that have nighted out and three that have got awol for hours.
But am gutted about the blue one that I originally lost.
But that's the way it goes with younguns.

mealy came back about an hour ago, called him in and gave him a small amount of corn............just going to darken soon.

I must of miscounted, I only have 19 in this section and ten in the other. I was on the phone to kev today, he has gone through all the stock lofts and counted my tags, I have 19 more to come, I don't dare to tell the Mrs I have a team of 50 YBs.
