| I have a dark chequer yb this year and its flights and sides were red, however as they are on darkness and moulting now its a chequer with no red. So I have one like it this year? |

| ive a yb this year which is a chequer, its got a tinge of red on its feathers but i think the new feathers that asre growing are normal/blue, the birds nestmate is a red cheq, and so is the mother of them.......... |

| I will take a picture of mine today and post it, the nest pair are the same, and still have a fair bit of red in them. the mother is a bronze so maybe its coming from there.

| ive got a YB cock thats a blue chequer that has bronze coulour on some of the secondary feathers, parents a blue and a blue chequer |

| He was much reder than now, but because hes on darkness you can see the wing upper has totally moulted and its a chequer underneath. |

| We call these bronzed, these are common from Van Den Bosche Strains. I'll take some pics next time I go to the allotments. |

| ive been feeding a fanciers birds in the next strret because hes gone away for the week, i noticed one of his 2012 ybs is a blue bar, but the bars are white like a grizzle......... never seen this before.... |

| That's a trait that goes back to the old original families. It's not really a common occurrence and they do usually make good birds for some reason. |
