Its only just gone ten today and it's scorching hot.
Better hold back them drinkers today to ensure they get a good drink before basketting.

Dont know about you lads but I hate hot weather racing so many factors take its toll on the birds, give me a gloomy day for them anytime dont even mind rain, I always get birds back a week late in the fog and rain really makes me think should I be training in the rain cos they love it lol

I reckon it will certainly slow um down mate.

Hi Gaz not for us mate we are at 145 miles this week and they got a 15 - 20 mph tail wind, if they are up at 6 they be home at 7 ..lol

our convoyer has already said he is planning for a dinner time lib from Newton Aycliffe, it is the closest i have come to taking the birds home, wanted them up aty first good opportunity.

There is a lot of mist about tomorrow but I wouldn't think it will be dinner time before its gone. it may work better for your you if you are in a favourable location for an east wind as around dinner its going to turn ese.

I of the things I have to do down here is train at dawn to avoid the perigrine, doesnt always work but effective earlyin the season like june time...because of this I am forced to lib my birds in heavy mist because most mornings in june its very misty here on the coast and with all the valleys we have, I can tell you its a fact that birds will fly over it and it doesnt affect their homing at all, on misty mornings just as sun rises I have great training feds are scared of misty mornings but it makes no difference to them.

Also like to piont out that low lying mist however thick is not the same as fog which reaches up to cloud level, That would be a disaster libing in fog.

Just as I said gaz 141 miles birds home in 2 hours very fast, happy though all home within 3 hours easy week...lol
