y/b racing means different things to different fanciers there are those who want to win with them at all costs they fly to the tin theres those that just want to educate them for the future theres the guys who are trying to build a team and take them slowly school them well and win an odd card but the important thing is returns theres the out and out distance men who train them well but dont race as they see them as their future there are many ways and systems to race y/bs but what ever system you choose remember while its a bit of fun its no guied to the future best of luck to all who is racing this week end i hope you all have a good race and more importantly good returns remember they are your future sean

At the moment for me Sean they are to build a team of OBs so although they are trained and will do racing the important thing for me at the moment is that I have enough trained and educated birds to take me forward, that doesnt mean in the future with a built team of OBs i wont be racing, and if you are racing then surely its to win.

This is what makes this sport so wonderful. The diversity between fanciers. Hard work and dedication is the key. Some excel at yb racing others hate it. But at the end of the day enjoy your birds and all they have to offer, its a great pastime. Good luck to all for the YB season.

its all about enjoyment for me ...we love it me and the mrs she has her favs usualy the pretty ones lol and i have mine but we get as much enjoyment from the last arrival as the first ....no yb gets culled here unless unhealthy but all are exspected to race at least 150 mile those that are left get a perch as with likeing plenty of space for the birds we dont have a big team (max 30) to start with ....its not all about winning for me but its nice when you do especialy when its a headwind yes we like headwind races ....its a hobbie for us not life and death

i like to win it just human nature, i dont see the point of useing yb racing as a learning curve for them, but i think the best old birds are usually the better schooled yb i dont like ours worked to death but a good steady training regeaim (sorry about spelling LOL) same place once a day is enought for me, i like to see them pulling out of batches on race day knowing were they are, this in my opinion will set them up for a good racing life
