what tonic do you all use ... as just been told from a new starter last year not to be shy with treating them as he ended loseing all his birds Phil this guy was wrong to say "Dont be shy about treating them" There are treatments that are safe to use as a preventative eg canker, cocci, ect The products tell you that you can use as a preventative. But if your birds are ill and you dont know what they have, get them checked via swabs and poo samples. Just my opinion Amanda |

| i use cider vinegar in the water during the breeding season.as i keep large cropped pigeons they are susseptable to sour crop and a few cocks get it near the end of weaning the youngsters.i also use normal vinegar to 5 parts warm water if they come down with sour crop.it sweetens the crop and is a good natural product. |

| you should put a few drops in to a drinker to give you a ph ballance of 4 which is the ideal for the lining of the pigeons gut . |

| but saying that everyone will have their own way of doing things its always best to ask at your feed suplyer and if you not sure a vet.a new starter could easly get confused on here with all the different advice. |
