dont think theirs a worse time to let yer birds out than march and april ..damn things tbh its not the bops fault its the do gooders over populating them by putting up nest sites and taking them out of their natural habitat and of course their breeding programmes especialy gos hawks just now

A club mate of mine has lost four hens to percy in the last week, another member had a youngster taken on its first day out, at this rate mine will have to miss the first 2 races, im not feeding the Bops, usually eases off by the 2nd week of april, so will have to wait until then.

i know its bad news with the BOP , but why don,t you breed later on so there hatching out when the BOP are sitting in early april once the hen BOP is sitting she doesn,t come off the nest so you will have a clear period to let your yb out . i live in a very highly populated area of BOP but in the last 4-5 years my birds are on open hole all day ob and yb and i can count on one hand how many ive lost . good luck
