Derby nestcam...

i thought an eyesign show meant just that, when ive entered club shows all they look at is the eyes.....sounds as though his main reason for holding the show was to evaluate birds for his own liking, which is fine if it was stated the class was an all round one with everything taken into consideration to find the best bird....

What was funny was Bill gave a running commentry on all pigeons which passed through his hands

The main thing was i got my money back and was able to talk with lou in his private area and when he saw the two hens even he said they had good eyes

But forgot to say sitting with lou and talking with him was an honour in it's self

sounds like he was using it to boost his own reputation.......

But Lou never held another eyesign show again at the pigeon world

To look at him he was 5' 9'' and very full of himself and very big headed also

They were good shows but to mark the pigeons down on there size that's what made me cross

havnt you noticed tho don, they all talk the same talk, and describe the eye but dont really give you any concrete opinion of the birds performance or breeding worth...or what type of race it will win in. ive heard the odd one or two who do but most are just scammers!!!

i personally like jack barkels theories, because he actually gives reasons and in depth details of years experiance of his studies. he doesnt just spout the same old rubbish that some do without giving reasons for his theories.

Talking about young birds and the way we train them and if we race them in the year they are born

Was reading from some old pictorials that top fanciers would train there young birds and once they have had plenty of training tosses they would then start to let there birds out on a saturday when race birds are racing home

Doing this is making the birds use there minds and making them leave the pack one fancier who wrote about this in the homing world was Richard Boylin

yes but this method would be no good in our club as we have a club ruling that no birds are allowed out on a race dayup until 1hour after clock opening
