The great Leo Hermans

Well Im a fan of both men and have birds from both, and I must say both hav done well, however its the hermans ceusters I have focused on just now.
Pigeons are becoming all about the money and less about the pigeons, I can remember anyone would give you youngsters from their best birds, I still do, but top fanciers will start selling the feathers after the moult soon.....lol

the thing that interests me is has this bird raced and won anything, or bred anything to win....? i notice it says the father is a grandson of "olympiade", so this means this pigeon for sale is pretty far removed from olympiade doesnt it, making it his great grandson........maybe this olympiade was a good pigeon, but i certainly wouldnt presume his great grandson was any good and warrant paying thousands for.

ive often wondered the same thing with pigeons offered for sale in the BHW, they always say what the parents or grandparents were, but rarely what the bird for sale has won or bred....... JMO

I have grandchildren of olympiad and euro, but didnt pay that much for them and they are producing the goods....
