| i think what ever you feed y/b it has to be top quality corn im useing 3 mixs versa laga diet bamfords high protien and and versa laga widdowhood one pot of each so its a 3 way mix they fly well on it
in morning they just get the diet mix plus a bit of gem trapping mix now that stuff to me is better than red band and a hell of a lot cheaper
other than a few nuts and greated carrots and pots of cress nor much more
oh i do add some brewers yeast to morning feed ive started to use that good oil from tesco its hemp oil about 6 quid but a bottle will go a long way |

| I use the same as the old birds get as I buy my corn for the season some times one comes unstuck but i have done this for a number of years it works for me its only the fact that some times when you pick up a bag of corn its not the same and found it can put the birds of form for a few days and to me not good in the raceing season |

| Always feed my birds 50/50 depurative and sport mix never had my youngsters hungry but always had them on the edge And when i mean on the edge when they return to the loft they are hungry to trap fast and waste no time at all My youngsters were always feed in an open truff and as soon as the first 2 pigeons left the truff for water the food was removed as the distance increased so did the maize content and peanuts ware added to the feed the youngsters loved them once they got the taste for them Its the same with gerry plus feed that at the start on the very short races then as the distance increases so does the maize and peanuts amounts But becareful of feeding to many peanuts and use them as a t*t bit you could even put them in a food blender chop them really small and add them to your mix but peanuts have to be fresh and not left to get damp as fungi spores grow on them and thats a big no no "I KNOW NOTHING" |

| Don always says he knows nothing, but I think he knows a lot, I know a fancier who flys a brilliant young bird, and I think Dons just quoted exactly what he feeds...Spot on Don. |

Cheers Gary and John kind words glad I am getting something right and yes I would feed your youngsters on the 50/50 mix for fast easy days and the first few races but as the distance increases get the maize and peanuts in the mix |
