why should a good strong young bird suddenly go light dosent whant to fly or eat cheers terryp....

hi terry as we all know many birds seem to be well but once there is an attack on the immune system not all can cope if its just the one bird ide dispose of it as it rear many become much even after treatment may sound harsh to you and a few others but there is no room for weak birds and it takes far longer and much time to even try and could lead to nothing but more sickness in the loft

could be any number of things but the droppings could be a good indication..

like G say,s if they can,t be healthy now doing nowt whats it going to be like when its training and racing and breeding all that stress it will go down at the first hurdel , are its dropping ok are its eyes nice and bright you can tell alot by them 2 things alone . put it in a nest box on its own with hold food for 24 hrs then a light feed i would give it some bicarb in its water , hope this helps .

the bird needs to be treated for cocci urgently, give it a white sesque tablet old hand spacifics, it will be on the mend in half hour.

it contains sodium sesquicarbonate basically bicarbonate soda ....I am going to weigh one of these tablets and try that dose on a bird next time I need to use ...and just see if it does the same job I know fanciers put bicarb in the water but its all about the dose all at once as a cure for going lite

hi lads terryp here the sick bird is stillhere in confinement had a white pill starting to eat better now was thinking of putting the whole team onto aviform 7in 1 any sugestions cheers for now terryp....
