| carbohydrates in above is 58.5, this is new mix 35% maize with extra carbohydrate in it |

| Yes i know were you are coming from steve but i mean the maize content as this is the main soruse for the carbs
Have known Distance men feed just maize when it gets closer to the race to give the birds the carbs needed for the miles ahead |

| Must say carbs provide the energy needed but also fats, when i was boxing would have more protein than carbs as the cabs (Bread,Paster,ect) would put my weight on if not worked of
If you are going to train hard everyday even twicw aday then give them loads of cards, as the amount of work the birds are having will work the carbs off |

| Out of interest I once read an article about the catresse brothers and it said they fed moctly maize to their birds as much as 80%, now wouldnt we all like to fly like them? I do agree though you can get other seeds with much more carbs in them, for instance pearl barley has more carbs in it than any other grain,,fact. |

| I shouldnt give my secrets away DON but I buy pearl barley from tesco,s its expensive that way but excellent stuff, I just give a little to some race birds as a treat. |

| are cattryse(?) birds for distance racing......? if im not mistaken i think these were the base of the denys bros birds we raced from louella in the 80s.... |
