Must say carbs provide the energy needed but also fats, when i was boxing would have more protein than carbs as the cabs (Bread,Paster,ect) would put my weight on if not worked of

If you are going to train hard everyday even twicw aday then give them loads of cards, as the amount of work the birds are having will work the carbs off

Out of interest I once read an article about the catresse brothers and it said they fed moctly maize to their birds as much as 80%, now wouldnt we all like to fly like them? I do agree though you can get other seeds with much more carbs in them, for instance pearl barley has more carbs in it than any other grain,,fact.

Martyn shall have a look at pearl barley mate new to me, did read about the bros also and they used lots of maize

I shouldnt give my secrets away DON but I buy pearl barley from tesco,s its expensive that way but excellent stuff, I just give a little to some race birds as a treat.

are cattryse(?) birds for distance racing......? if im not mistaken i think these were the base of the denys bros birds we raced from louella in the 80s....

They are an old bred, and they have gone with the times, but you can still get them

like i,ve said before,i raced the westcotts ,a very old breed can you still get these i wonder

If you have the squlls book you will still see all the old breeds abvertised

i wish i still had them, just got rid to concentrate on sprint,now i,m going back to channel this season
