PostSubject: Hello again    Hello again EmptyThu Nov 07, 2013 7:48 pm

Hello again Very Happy i haven`t been on here now for a month , reason being i`ve been quite ill with pneumonia and for the last month have been in and out of hospital having x-rays and scans and blood tests ect , seen the consultant today and there is a big improvement but he still wants me to go back in next week to have some bits taken off me for biopsy Sad Sad
I havent been anywhere near my pigeons untill today and i wore a mask  , my son has been looking after them for me , i don`t have many as i am only just starting up and was gutted to think that the pigeons might be the cause of my illness , i asked the consultant today if it could be the birds and he said a big NO Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy and i don`t have to get rid of them
so as you can imagine i was very happy and as soon as i got home i went to see them and they were looking good ,the last time i seen them they were still moulting.
However all this has got me thinking now about pigeon lung ect and i am going to wear a mask at least most of the time when scraping out ect
just glad i can keep my pigeons:D Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Cheers andy:cheers: cheers cheers

Cheers Darren , yes mate i agree about the wearing of masks , this type of illness makes you feel like crap i have never felt so ill , just glad to hear it off the doc today that it wasn`t the birds that made me ill, he said it was a normal pneumonia but still wants to do a biopsy to rule out other nasty things.

Cheers andy.

Cheers lads , yes it is good news that i can keep my pigeons Very Happy Very Happy , i was gutted at the thought of having to get rid of them , funny thing is i think my last post on here was about ventilation in a loft and two days later i could hardly breath myself Shocked Shocked this whole episode has got me thinking again about ventilation but not just for the birds health but the fanciers health as well , i`m rethinking my loft i will be building to try and put a couple of aviarys in the design which will be great in the summer and on dry days.

Avairy's are good Andy "Fresh air & sun" Both cheap Smile Smile  so you should bottle them both if you can Wink Wink. Concrete floor if on the ground or if raised etc I would use metal grills type of thing for the base. Either way Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Wink Wink bounce bounce  I think they are worth there weight in gold. cheers
