thanks david, yes i used a 10 meg pix camera
he only raced 3 races last year wanted to keep for stock but came 3rd and 4th club

thats the thing sue, when they do well racing for you its hard to know weather to keep back for stock or continue to race them........i havnt got that problem yet. Very Happy lol! lol! lol!

if its acock that has done well as youngbird i would race the following year on widowhood why put to stock if you have the parents who bred then you can get another

i maybe wouldnt put to stock and never race again if a bird had raced well, but if raced as widowood i would cirtainly breed from him before he raced again.............

the reason i stocked him is i want to breed from him get some yb and may be race him again as a two year old i havent been racing long and dont want to loose my good birds before i get some young off them

yes i see your point sue, like i say i havnt got any which have raced for me yet so dont have the problem, but when/i i do find any whch race well i will certainly make sure i breed off them to maybe get a good yb from them.........if by any chance i get a bird which does really well i dont think i would dare risk racing it again..... lol! lol! lol!

dont know much of eyesign, but was told to look for circle with clusters for breeders, havent paired up with eye, keeping most pure breeds this year then crossing best next

ah right, i have an interest in eyes but dont put too much faith into it.......basically i like to pair a weaker eye to a stronger eye but if its not possible im not too bothered........weak and strong eyes in my view is based more on iris than the second circle round the pupil..... Razz

i think martyn (rudderfet) has similar ideas to what you are saying steve, he has been told by an old fancier that good breeders all have the same thing in the eye.......he wont tell us exactly what it is but as far as i can remember it could be similar to what you are saying..............

look at eye of grizzle in 1 of posts here, pupil then a circle round it, in this circle about 4 oclock is dark cluster of good breeders, then theres other lines in it aswell
