| hi guys.i have two pairs that wont go to a box for breeding all the other cocks keep kicking them out and i paid a lot of money for these two pairs.so my mate gave me two large widowhood boxes and i put them up in the stock loft i have put them in there.i want to leave them in there untill i have finnished breeding from them do you think they will be ok in there untill i got some ybs of them

| i myself wouldnt do this dont think its right to keep them in a box think they need to excercise even if its just up and down to box , have you not got a spare end where you could seperate them ,or somebody you know and trust to keep them for you and rear the youngbirds for you |

| no i dont know anyone i can trust to do so.but like you just said i have just spent most of my sunday seperateing my garden shed in two and have put some boxes in there they already happy in there |

| mark ive had this with some yearlings this year, all the other cocks were kicking them out of their box......all you can do is keep locking them in over night and letting them out during the day for a while.......then lock them up again, and keep doing this. once they know where their box is and show signs they want to defend it i just left them loose in the loft so the other cocks got used to them being there and eventually they settled down and defended their new box.. |

| my 6pr at home are locked in nest boxes, i let each pr out 1 pr at a time for over an hour, herman loaned to me chases all other 5 cocks out of nest boxes, dirk van dyck cock had blood staind all over nest box, settled down now 4 eggs were broke, 5 pr on eggs now |
