| to be honest m8 this is my first year not doing natural and I have a few things up the sleeve like jealousy...moving cocks and hens to different section ie the nest box section for certain nights ...maybe even pairing up for later races if things are not going well ...not racing ybs this year and don't use many meds anyway other than canker and worm before season ...good topic be interesting to see members response ...did have a special perch for yb motivation that would be put into section on Thursday night |

| Before we can reach the tasks of Motivation, a partnership of trust needs to be built, this can be obtained in our other daily routines. We all have a need for, food, water, health and environment, these are our basic needs. But while doing these tasks, there is a build up of trust and a partnership formed. Only then should you move onto racing motivation systems. Widowhood System, Darkness, Natural, Celibacy, Roundabout, and so on. Just my thoughts. |

Here's one for you to think about 1990 had a yearling hen who had lost her cock was spare in the loft and she would rest on the top of the grit fountain every night because the yearling cock in the next box would knock her out to take over the box As you all know me and my dad never saw eye to eye and my dad said to me going to get rid of this hen which I said give her a chance try and repair her which she would not at all Had the week of work training the birds and noticed this hen trying to get into but being stopped by the yearling cock, every time they went out she was the first in her box fond as a cricket had a word with my dad (DEAF EARS) and said watch this hen she just want to be in her box and my dad said leave her she goes tomorrow to Rennes This hen was timed in from Rennes sent back 2 weeks later timed in again, and on her return was fond in her box Nantes was 2 weeks later so gave her 2x20 mile training tosses but each time the yearling was taken out the loft for her to go into the box 30 mins before the training toss The night we marked her for Nantes removed the yearling cocks left her in her box for over 3 hours she was timed in from Nantes and she was left in her box over night, then the yearling cock was returned to the loft She spent the next 10 day on the git fountain and she was sent to Saintes 2 weeks after Nantes same again the day of marking yearling cock removed she flew into her box straight away I locked her in for over 3 hours again she was timed in at 7.30am the following morning This yearling hen flew for the love of her box nothing else Rennes x2 306 miles Nantes 366 Miles Saintes 450+ miles Timed in every time she was beat for the channel averages by the only birds on the day from Saintes She was a small hen with a heart of a lion Just shows find what makes them tick and they will win or try there best and give you everything |

| I've tried that don, with a black storm beetle, also put an extra egg under them each day so they sitting 6 eggs on basket night, also had em sitting chicken eggs before. And another good wind up is to put a small mirror in the nest box. |

That's was the same type of method De Klak used but instead of a mirror he would remove the partition between the boxes as both cocks could see each other |
